Walkin’ the dog above Nederland high

Satori, Maddie our golden, and I hiked on a little trail above Nederland high school. We could hear the kids practicing football, it was about 6pm this evening.

Snippets of color amidst the first of the season’s snow…

Here was my “bribe” for the night. Satori got to wear her contrasty Hanna Anderssen dress with her matching doggie dress. A photographer’s nightmare, but luckily, most of the photos I shot didn’t have the dress in it. :)

The late afternoon fog set in, but here you see a hint of Eldora ski resort in the background..

Hanging out with a little fairy

Tonight I took a little hike around the lake with Miss Violet. In her fuchsia dress (and wings she had on for part of the night), she looked like a little fairy!

Family walk at the park

Beshaal at Katmandu

Today I had the pleasure of hanging out with Beshaal at Katmandu, the Nepalese restaurant here in Ned, which my family loves to dine at.

Beshaal was a little shy at first, but with the help of his older brother, we managed to capture a few images of him in his family restaurant.

and the ladies obliged to pose for a few!

Enchanted Forest

Took a hike in the Enchanted Forest in Nederland today. Met all kinds of wild animals and learned about what they ate, how they moved, and where they lived.

This is our second year, and if you have kids in the Ned/Boulder area, I highly recommend checking it out! While Daddy waited in line for the face painting to hold Satori’s place, Satori and I joined the drum circle.

We even saw a little boy that Angela gets to do a photo shoot with in a few days!

They had walls of colorful leaves hanging up that made a dream background!

And finally… Our little princess with her face painted! (We might hire this lady to do face paintings for Satori’s birthday coming up!

Before we left, we took a short hike around Mud Lake. We’ve never been there before, it is a photographer’s paradise! I didn’t take too many photos of Satori like I normally would have, somehow the face painting and the natural surroundings clashed a bit. :)
