Bought a membership to Denver Botanic Gardens

This place is so beautiful, even in October. So today I finally caved and got a membership - enough to bring all my family and a few guests each time we visit! So that means I can bring clients if desired. :)

Although there wasn’t as much color and flowers as our last visit in the summer, I had a willing model and I can’t turn that down, so here’s a few photos of Miss Satori:

Aiden and family

I got to see a beautiful part of the world tonight with Aiden and his family. Beautiful sunlit views around his house provided for some great landscaping.

What a handsome boy!

Walkin’ the dog above Nederland high

Satori, Maddie our golden, and I hiked on a little trail above Nederland high school. We could hear the kids practicing football, it was about 6pm this evening.

Snippets of color amidst the first of the season’s snow…

Here was my “bribe” for the night. Satori got to wear her contrasty Hanna Anderssen dress with her matching doggie dress. A photographer’s nightmare, but luckily, most of the photos I shot didn’t have the dress in it. :)

The late afternoon fog set in, but here you see a hint of Eldora ski resort in the background..

Rained out at the Pumpkin Patch

Colorado weather is getting cooold and rainy, it’s that time of year. We braved it anyway, and spent the afternoon at Chatfield’s Botanical Garden’s pumpkin patch! Amidst all of Satori’s favorite friends, everyone had fun getting cupcake frosting all over their faces!

Due to the inclement weather, I only could get a few closeups, and will have to try my luck at scenic “pumpkin patch” pictures next weekend!

And in these parting photos, you may be able to get a sense of how cold, muddy and freezing cold the day was!

A foggy morning with Kyleigh

Early this morning I got to meet Kyleigh and family! The fog was pretty intense, but it finally lifted a bit. Kyleigh had fun throwing rocks in the water, and playing with her family dog!

As you can see, this family was a natural at posing!

Speaking from a compositional perspective, this strong “diagonal” line that the family naturally settled into appealed to me alot!

And this photo made me chuckle, right before Kyleigh popped up with a lollipop full of dog hair! :)
